‘Weird’ Things!
Here are some ‘weird’ facts about me:
When I was 16, I had bright pink streaks in my hair, wore (fake) doc marten boots and was into grunge music big time. In my final year of school, I was awarded a university place in a prestigious scholarship program to study business/accounting so I felt like I had to start dressing 'mainstream' again. These days, when my husband and son smash out a Nirvana song with their band, I feel like I'm 16 and have an urge to stage dive into a moshpit. But let's be clear, I never actually did this when I was 16 because I was terrified of getting injured. It just looked cool when other people did it.
In my final year of high school, this city gal came 10th in the state (NSW) in Agriculture and 17th in Economics. I still love growing money and food, both of which make me feel super abundant.
When I was a teenager/young adult, my mother half-joked that she worried about me being "in love with the idea of being in love". She was right. Chris and I celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary last month and I still think a movie should be made about our super romantic and goose-bump inducing whirlwind romance. I’m figuring out which actors would play our characters and thinking Mindy Kaling for me. What do you think?
I love airports. All those possibilities, all those planes going to faraway places! Travel is one of my life's joys and I can’t wait to do it again.
I hate shopping and all shopping centres. They suck the life out of me. If it wasn't for internet shopping, my family would probably starve.
Most people think I'm an extrovert and while I do light up in most social situations, according to personality tests I am 55% introverted. This feels really true for me. I love snuggling up on the couch with a good book any day of the week and I need time on my own to recharge my batteries. I'm also a night owl and I love basking in the quiet of a sleeping household late into the night.
My full first name is Nayantara (pronounced Nigh-an-tara). In Sanskrit, it means 'starry eyes'. I was named after an Indian poet, Nayantara Sahgal.
Manifesting is one of my superpowers and I have manifested small things like pot plants and fish fingers (!!) right up to big things like huge lump sums of money seemingly out of the blue. Energy is everything!
