Playing Too Small

Do you have a secret fear that you're playing too small?

Do you ever think about the person you were when you were 16, 18 or maybe 25 years old and you had a deep knowing that you were here to do something big with your life? That you wanted to make your mark, write that book, rise to that leadership position, bring about change or somehow make a real difference in this world?

But then you 'grew up' and came to your senses. Perhaps you built a successful corporate career. Perhaps you got married and had kids. Perhaps you got comfortable being comfortable (and also freaking tired from all the never ending jobs). But sometimes you hear a whisper stirring from your soul that you are here to do bigger things. This feels uncomfortable because all you see ahead of you are the obstacles that stand between you and your bigger, bolder life. The mortgage. What other people might think. You have kids to think of now.

And so you knuckle down and get on with the job of being a sensible adult. You tamp down those soul whispers with a glass of wine, a netflix binge, food, shopping or the most insidious thing of all.......working even harder.

I see you. I am you. And I'm not going to let you (or me) off the hook, because here's the truth. The reason you are secretly afraid that you're playing too small is because you ARE playing too small.

That big dream of yours? It can come true. You just need to figure out your one next tiny step towards it. And that one tiny next step can fit in between all of your sensible commitments. I know you're tired and it feels hard to add one more thing to your load. But you know what? That one tiny next step will be energising rather than draining because it's a step in the direction of your soul.

And if you need help figuring out what that one tiny next right step is, or to rediscover what your big dreams are, I would love to support you. Let’s chat! xx
